Liz Faist
Visual Artist

Throughout my career as a Rostered Artist, I have worked in both traditional and non-traditional school settings such as Pre K-12, special education, emotional and behavioral support classrooms, senior citizen, Alzheimer/Dementia programming and community-based projects. I use a variety of materials to explore both works on paper and three-dimensional pieces. My approach to each residency is a very collaborative process allowing each project to take on a life of its own. Factors such as curriculum, individual needs of students, and the goals of the school/organization itself always come into play. As a teaching artist, this approach is very stimulating because I do not have complete control, but rather have to respond to what has been laid out on the table. This method ensures that each residency will be a unique experience.
